| **MA Rating** *"Strong Medicine" is a new medical drama airing on Lifetime Television for Women. *It's stars are Rosa (Noreiga)Blasi, as 'Dr. Lu Delgado' and Janine (Northern Exposure) Turner, as 'Dr. Dana Stowe'. *Based in a Philadelphia, Pennsylavania Women's Medical Clinic, the stories are timely and thought provoking, without being too preachy. *Michael Mahonen made his guest appearance in the August 13, 2000, episode entitled "Second Look". *He was only on the screen for about 5 minutes, but the impact was remarkable. *His character, 'Joe', was physically assaulted by 5 men one night, after having one too many drinks in a bar. * He comes to the clinic, and to Lu, asking to see "a doctor'. *His request is simple. He wants an AIDs test. *When Lu, sensing something terribly wrong with this 'anonymous' patient, is finally able to get him to talk about what is troubling him, the reveal is both powerful and heartbreaking. *I want to see more of 'Joe', on "Strong Medicine". *I want to know if he has a wife; children; the support of his friends. *I want to know how he is going to get past this horrible personal physical assault. *I have included a link to Lifetime TV AND Whoopi Goldberg, the executive producer of the show, if you care to email them and let them know: * WE WANT MO' JOE!!! |
